This is the 2nd year we are focusing on Eight Greatness Goals with all students at CV. We review all eight goals in September and then focus on one each month.
We are teaching students that all of us are working on growing these skills so they become habits.
Our brains are like our muscles; when we practice, we can make these skills stronger and grow our brains!
Classrooms set monthly goals to work on growing these skills.
There are many experiences that happen to us each day that can lead to a 1-minute conversation about persistence, or cooperation, or one of the other Greatness Goals.

Just about any piece of literature, news story, or mundane errand can provide an opportunity to talk about a Greatness Goal. We encourage you to ask your child about the Greatness Goal the classroom has set for October which is PERSISTENCE, and to point out examples you recognize at home.
